Why you ask, well i probably have the best way to lose leg fat and in general body fat. I would like to share my story with you and how i archived my goal. First of all you should know that i am a mother to a child, Evan. Any mom would know that during and after pregnancy most women tend to put on a bit of weight. Well for me my problem was my legs. Now i like to go to the pool and beach in the summer, and i felt embarrassed to show my legs off. And for me, i’m not a shy person and i would’t want people talking behind my back and making comments on my chubby legs.

But i thought to myself that i can’t hide and shell away all the time, so i decided to take action and look for a way to lose leg fat and to lose fat fast. So first of i decided to join my local gym. It had a great low rate membership. But i didn’t really have the time to keep constantly going as i had to look after Evan. Then i decided to try those slim fast drinks, you know the ones you tend to see in the supermarkets. Well they didn’t really work either. Neither did those meal bars and food replacement. All they seemed to do was give me a stomach ache, so i wouldn’t try them if i were you. I then took my search to lose leg fat to the next stage, off i was on the internet. I came across articles and videos, in particular most of the articles i read suggested you needed to lower your calorie intake. So trying this but again with hardly results. I was on the verge of giving up. I had only lost a small amount of body fat, and let me tell you it was hard hard work. I even resorted on going on some boring diet and that didn’t even work.

However, i went back onto the internet and this was the turning point and the solution to my problems. I have to admit it seemed a bit promising when it said it could accelerate fat loss and get rid of your boring diet. But i fort what the heck and gave it a shot And i was astonished by the results. Not only was i losing that leg fat. But i was eating great food that i enjoy. Yes i did say eating GREAT FOOD.

The guide worked a charm. Although i am not to keen i cooking, i let the husband do that. But apart from that its great. Its set out very well and is really really simple to follow. It made me feel great again knowing that i was losing weight and not being on a boring diet. I used to have the same issues as you when it came to losing weight and losing it fast. Leg workout for women

Today I want to talk about a leg workout for women. I will give you what I would say are the best workouts for losing leg fat and will tell you what they are and how to perform them. And if that isn’t enough I will also throw in a video for you!

Ok so leg workout for women lets begin with:

Running or Jogging: Going for a run or a jog on a lovely day can be very helpful as it will help you to tone your legs  and to help you lose leg fat. Not only will it help you to lose leg fat, but it will also help with your entire body. unning can get your heart rate elevated quickly and keep it there, and you can alternate jogging and running if you tire easily.

Whatever you decide to choose be it running or jogging your going to need a good pair of running shoes. Here’s a good pair a recommend

Investing in a good pair of running shoes will help you, because running with normal shoes can cause some serious injuries which will keep you out of the game for a while which won’t help your legs so it’s worth the investment.

Walking: Just like running and jogging walking is a good exercise to lose leg fat. Why not grab your ipod and head out down to the river or the beach. That’s how I like to spend my Sunday’s. You can tone your legs more and increase the intensity, making it a better fat-burning workout, by speed walking or walking uphill.

Swimming: Another great exercise here is swimming. Swimming is good because it work’s every single muscle in your body, but the main part it targets is your legs. A great way to cool down after a long days work in the office. Get down to your local pool and enjoy it.

We also need to remember to do our strengthening exercises as this will help us, it will be the usual suspects which are:

  • The squats
  • The lunges

Leg slimming workout

Today on Lose leg fat secrets I want to discuss Leg slimming workouts. The purpose of the post is to give you some great exercises you can perform either at home or at your local gym. Some can also be done outdoors.

It’s no secret, long lean slim legs are desired by any women on this planet. Yet getting them can be stressful and differcult to obtain. Here is a few exercises you can add to your leg workout to get on your way to long lean toned legs.

Plies: Plies is a great exercise, it means to bend in French (Snazzy) Just as dancers have long, lean muscles, this exercise can help to make the thighs more lean in appearance. Here is how you perform the Plies.

OK to begin with you need to stand with your feet slightly more than shoulder width apart. Take a small step out with each foot and turn your feet outward like how a duck would.

Make sure that your hands are placed on your hips or you could hold the back of the chair for support. Lower your body slowly down about six inches and raise it back up slowly.

Repeat the movement for 3 sets of 30 repetitions. Moving slowly forces the muscle to work harder and muscles strength will increase faster. Massaging and stretching also increases your muscle strength.

Long distance running:

Well running and walking in general is good for you. If your not a regular runner then you should consider taking it up. Get you headphones and Ipod, get out their for a good old run along the river for a bit. Take a lot of water on board so you keep yourself hydrated. Start of with a 10 minute run and each time you go add on another 5 minutes until you reach 30 minutes. It is recommend you go for runs of at least 5 to 10 miles each time you exercise.

Lets move on to another exercise.

Swimming: Summer is here, well not yet In London but hopefully where you are the weather is brilliant. Swimming is great because it works every single muscle in the body. And the main area it targets is of course your legs. So why not get down to your local pool for some swimming after a long stressful day at work. Or on the weekend drive yourself down to your nearest beach and go for a swim in the ocean to get all that good natural salt into your skin.

Make sure to add these into your leg slimming workout and you should be well on your way to long slim toned legs.

Today I want to talk about some leg strengthening exercises with you guys. Our legs are important. I mean after all we put them through they deserve to be strengthening once we have lost all the leg fat that was once on them. Strong legs allow us to get on with our day to day work without hassle.  And that;s why I want to give you 2 leg strengthening exercises to help you out.

No doubt you have probably come across them or heard of them before but they are 2 of the best exercises for leg strengthening around. They are the Lunges and Plies.

We will start of with Lunges

Lunges: Why are Lunges good for leg strengthening. Well to begin with they are the best leg exercise as it works all the muscles in the legs with just one simple move. And here is how you perform this exercise.

OK you need to start of with your feet shoulder width apart. Now you need to take one giant step forward with your right foot. put you hands on your hips for balance, balance is important for this.

OK now you want to lower your body straight down until your back leg forms a right angle at the knee. Raise yourself up slowly using your leg muscles and repeat the movement for 3 sets of 30 repetitions for each leg.

Knee pain? OK then take smaller step forward and drop down as far as comfortable. While lunges are the best leg exercise, it can be challenging for people with bad knees. There are plenty of best leg exercises that strengthen the legs without placing too much stress on the knee.

OK that is the lunges for you. Now lets move on to our next leg strengthening exercises the Plies.

Plies is considered the best leg exercise for toning up the inner and outer thighs. Plies exercises places less stain on your joints and can be done at any intense or moderate level you feel comfortable with. Here is how you perform the Plies exercise.

Leg workout routine

Today I want to talk about a Leg workout routine. This site is all about how to lose leg fat and all that and recently I have not been posting an awful lot in the past couple of weeks so today I will post up a leg workout routine even if you are not looking to lose leg fat but want to tone your legs this routine will be a great way to go about it.

Here is a good leg workout routine you should follow

  • Squats
  • Leg extensions
  • Calf raises
  • Running
  • Cycling

Going for a quick Jog can be a great little 10-15 minute warm up for you. When doing reps 3 sets of between 6 and 10 reps to start you off. Once you feel you can progress increase it and make it harder. Remember as with any exercise routine you should always consult your doctor for advice. Also try to take on beard water when working out.

Another thing, you will need to switch up the routine from time to time lets say every 4-6 weeks. You can easily swap an exercise for one of these

  • Lunges
  • Leg press
  • Leg curls

However I should be posting some great material for you all in the coming weeks as I am finally free to get some great content up for my readers. So please accept my apology :) I hope your all ok. Let us know what you have been up to by leaving us a comment here at lose leg fat secrets!

Today I want to talk about Inner thigh exercises women. The women being that these exercises are specificly targeted for women not men. So any males in here sorry :(

Girls, we all know how annoying inner thigh fat can be. It is probably the most annoying part of the body to get fat and to get rid of it. So how do we go about it Megan to get rid of this annoying inner thigh fat? 

Well as always here at lose leg fat secrets we have your back covered ;) I will list you some great exercises along with a good video for you guys to follow. Please remember to consult your GP doctor before starting any exercises routine. Also it’s a good idea to take on board a good amount of water as this will help you get towards your goal faster.

Ok thanks for helping us out Megan how long should I do these exercises for?

You won’t need to take to much time out of your day. Try to keep the exercises going for at least 15 minutes each day. If you want to make it a little more challenging you could always increase the time of your workout.

Ok the first one I am going to list for you is a classic and you may already know about it, done it or come across it before. You will need an exercises ball of some sort.

Squat with Ball

Ah the classic Squats but with the exercise ball. Here is how you perform it!

  • Place your exercise ball between the wall and the curve of your lower back.
  • Right you need to bend your knees and lower 5 to 10 inches, keep your shoulders level and your hips square. Hold this position for  about 3 seconds and then stand back up.
  • Begin with 5 reps and then work up to 12. Make sure you take a rest. Rest is important so take a 30 second rest before starting the next exercise.

Ok that was the squat with ball! Moving swiftly on people to our next exercise.

Inner thigh lifts 

Right then lets begin shall we!

  • Ok pop yourself down on to the floor and lie down on your right side with your legs extended and knees straight
  • Now you can either use your arm or a pillow and place it under your head (I prefer a pillow but you might prefer your arm)
  • Right bend your left knee and place your left foot flat on the floor behind your right leg
  • Take the right leg and lift it off the ground
  • Raise the leg as high as you can and lower it slowly
  • Hold the leg a couple of inches from the floor for 1 second
  • Repeat the lift between 15 and 20 times per leg

Last but not least

Plyometric Squat

How does one perform it? Well here’s the answer

  • Start by standing with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  • Squat down, bending your knees 90 degrees.
  • Right, jump up and land softly again in the squat position. Use the strength in your legs and butt to jump up explosively.
  • Remember to land as softly as you can with your knees bent; keep your weight back, over your heels.
  • Do 3 sets of 8 reps.

Running program to lose weight

How’s it going and how has your week been this far, any good? Let us know here at lose leg fat secrets by leaving us a comment. We would love to hear from you. Did you enjoy my last post here? Let me know your thoughts, i’m interested to know. As promised here is a running program to lose weight

But how do I start of running Megan?

Ah yes I did jump the ship a bit early there didn’t I. That’s cool if you are totally new to running then start of with a simple walk. Yup for at least 30mins, take in the sights and then try to include sprints for 1-3 mins intervals. As time goes on, make the running intervals longer, until you are running for 30 minutes straight.

OK, should I buy some running shoes?

Well you don’t have to as long as you have a comfortable pair to run in, but saying this you don’t really need to invest a lot of money into running and a good pair of running shoes will aid you because running shoes are designed to allow your foot to strike the ground properly, reducing the amount of shock that travels up your leg and they also prevent blisters.

Is feeling pain normal after I have been running?

When you work out and you feel pain, that means you are doing it right! Obviously you will feel some discomfort after you first couple of runs, but if you are feeling real pain, If something feels so bad that you have to run with a limp or otherwise alter your stride, you’re probably injured. Stop running immediately, and take a few days off. If the pain is still there then please go to see your GP as soon as possible.

Where should I run

Wherever you like really, as long as it is safe for you, for example I wouldn’t say run at nighttime I prefer during the day. I also like to take in the scenery whilst I am running. For me where I live there is a lot of rivers and canals. I also drive down to the beach sometimes and run along the beach as it’s awesome and great to take in the air of the sea.

How often should I run? 

I would write out a routine for myself, for instance I chose to do Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday increasing the length of the run each day. Remember to take rest days, these are important and also take some water with you to keep yourself hydrated.

Running and weight loss

How’s today treating you? It’s a fresh new week here at lose leg fat secrets, here is to a good week hopefully the weather picks up a little though otherwise it will be a very damp week! How are you all anyway, let me know by leaving a comment here at lose leg fat secrets.

Today I wish to talk to you about running and weight loss. Many people overlook running, well actually if you go for a jog every week consistently, you will also lose weight consistently. That’s why running and weight loss go so well. A lot of people put running of because they argh I just have not got enough time during the day or I can’t go gym or isn’t there something else I could do that would benefit me better.

Stop making excuses! If you want to lose weight you have to be committed. Here are some tips for you to help you get started.

  • Write down 5 reason why you want to lose weight
  • Get your Ipod or mp3 player and create a playlist specifically for motivational music
  • Get a routine prepared, write it down and stick to it
  • Buy some clothes you like but cannot fit into, this will MAKE YOU want to lose weight

These are just a few points to help you get motivated. I know it can be tough to stick at something and stay committed to it. But if you really are serious about it then get on with it. Now you can either do some jogging on the spot at home if you don’t like going to your local gym to use the treadmill. Or you can purchase a Treadmill for you house.

Personally I like to get outdoors and go for a jog in the woods or by the river. It’s great just getting fresh air, music blarring out of your earphones and taking in the sights whilst losing weight. Remember to keep yourself hydrated and drink a lot of water. Bring a bottle with you.

When you want to step up the training a little bit more, why not put on a racksack and put some heave stuff in it to make it a bit harder. Also up the time of your jog. The best way to start is by starting at 15 mins, then each time you go again for a jog add on another 5 minutes.

Toning exercises for women

Hello everyone,

I hope you are having a fantastic weekend. It’s not to great here in London in fact the thunder and lightning is starting so not great at all! In fact this looks like it’s going to be raining all week here :( Ohwell that will mean inside and more posts for you guys here at lose leg fat secrets. Did you enjoy my last post on how to get rid of cellulite on thighs?

Please leave a comment for us letting us know your thoughts and we will get back to you. Moving on today I want to give you some toning exercises for women. Now before starting any exercises or an exercise program you should always consult your GP before beginning.

Plan your routine ladies

Don’t just rush into exercises you need to plan what you are actually going to concentrate on. You should spend at least 20-30 mins each day on exercises, remember you should always have rest days in-between these. So for example,

Monday: Legs and Thighs

Tuesday: Rest

Wednesday :Abs and arms

Thursday: Rest

Friday: Shoulders and back

This is just a quick example from the top of my head I will post a proper workout routine during the week for you to refer to. For now let me just give you some of the basic exercises for you to follow for each region.

For your arms these exercises are great,

  • Bicep Curls
  • Hammer Curls
  • Overhead Triceps Extensions
  • Cross Chest Extensions

Moving onto Abs

  • Crunches
  • Bicycle Crunches
  • The Toe Touches
  • The Side Crunches
  • Proper full Sit-Ups
  • The Knee Bends
  • Alternate Heel Touches
  • The scissor Kicks

For the legs

  • Squats
  • Reverse lunge
  • Stiff leg dead lifts

    These are just to name a few. Try to take on board a lot of water. Also press up are a basic but great way for toning your arms and your chest so try to get them in some where maybe as a starter, I know it sounds like a 3 course menu I am giving you but some of these exercises are great if you really want to get toned.

Well that’s what I am going to be talking about today so stick around!

Get rid of cellulite on thighs Megans way! :)

Well to be quite honest it isn’t my way and it’s pretty much the same procedure to getting rid of cellulite on your legs if I am honest, but becasue I am such a nice person I will go over it again :P .

  • You will need to drink plenty of water I know it sounds like the obvious thing to do but your going to need to take on quite a bit 10 to 12 glasses of water daily to be precise.  Water is considered to be the natural cleanser and will help you combat against cellulite but only if you are combining exercises with this.
  • Exercise on a daily basis, if you need some idea’s then refer to my previous post or comeback in a couple of days and I will do a post solely on exercises.
  • Diet, it is important that you are sticking to a good healthy diet otherwise cellulite is going to stick around and we don’t want that now do we. cut down on foods that are high on cholesterol and fat, which leads to accumulation of fat in the lower part of the body. Stay away from foods like chocolates, donuts, burgers, mayonnaise as they are high calorie foods and are a no no
  • Like coffee? Well give it up, Caffeine is known for retaining high levels of water and thus promoting the formation of cellulite.

Lose cellulite exercise

How is everyone doing today, not so nice here in London town its freezing as usual, but on the upside summer is on it’s way apparently according to the weather man. But like unlike weathermen I tend to keep my promises and as of yesterdays post on how to get rid of celluite on the legs. I am going to be listing some great lose cellulite exercises for you to pick up on. As always please do leave a comment on how we could do better or just start a discussion we will be sure to get involved in it so don’t be shy!

Activity’s you can take part in to help you lose cellulite 

Walking is a great way to start, not enough people take advantage of the surroundings they live in I for one didn’t and I live in Surrey which has some beautiful forests and fields and canals to walk down in. Walking will help as it will target these areas; Quadriceps, Hamstrings, Legs, Butt, Calf, Arms

Another great Activity to take part in is Hockey so get down to your local sports club and take part Hockey will help you to target these area’s Quadriceps, Hamstrings, Legs, Butt, Calf.

I have always said here at lose leg fat secrets that cycling is one of the top ways to both lose leg fat and to help you beat cellulite again cycling will help you target these area’s Legs, Butt, Quadriceps, Hamstrings, Calf. Note that also being on a treadmill will also target these area’s.

Now for some actual lose cellulite exercise

 

Leg Curl:

Get down to your local gym where you will find great leg curl machines and exercise tools for squats. For the leg curl start with a comfortable but slightly challenging weight set. Tip try to increase the weight with each set done.

Example, start with 50 lbs on the first set, then 60, and so on. Each set should consist of 10-12 reps. Always take a rest inbetween rests of at least 30 seconds then continue on.

The next exercise is called the bench squat which can either be done at the gym or even at home here is what you need to do.

The bench squat is a quite simple exercise. Grab a bench or even a chair at home and pretend you are going to sit on it. Squat as low as you can without actually sitting down and get back up. Keep your pace slow and steady so that you feel your thighs and buttocks muscles working.

Squeeze your buttocks every time you get back up. You can do as many squats as you like but make sure you separate them into sets. This will help you stay focused and remind you to take small breaks in between.
